18 Weeks 3 Days

Not too good recently.
Although I have my appetite back, however, my indigestion is causing me problem.

Feel so bloated and full, nausea and pukish after meals.
So i'm eating less now.

Some ladies out there have the same issue, I feel so much at ease after reading forums. I avoided a lot of food. Supplements prescribed by my gynea has been left on the shelf. Have been drinking coke, and more coke. (I know it's bad but sprite and other drinks don't work!) - I NEED TO BURB IT OUT !!!

I cut down on fruits and veggies cuz it gives me diarrhea.
Sigh, all the unhealthy food i'm taking in now. But what to do?
I'm trying my best too...

Haven't feel any baby movements yet, probably cuz I have thicker fat layers. According to books, first time mums usually feel kicks at a later stage. Some felt it after 15th week, some 20th.

Photo taken at Week 15th:

And currently, Week 18th

Tummy getting rounder and obvious in dresses.
How do I know? - People giving up Priority Seats to you on the MRT!!

Another thing people won't tell you about being pregnant, is you get out of breath so easily! Why? Because the boobs are gaining weight too and it causes difficult breathing especially when asleep. Blood thickens and increases in volume, that makes the heart work extra hard during this period.

Sleeping itself is a problem. I get choked on easily during sleep, find myself in awkward position due to the bulging tummy and start-to-ache back and calf, numbing half of my body when I sleep a certain position for too long period of time, and pain when I try to flip over.

The pain I'm referring to is the abdominal pain. I can't describe the pain, maybe it's the water bag sliding the whole baby from one side to another, causing stretching pain in the abdominal.

And lastly, DIZZY SPELLS!!
I was sleeping halfway two days ago and I dream myself on a cruise. The ship shook so hard that I can't open my eyes. I force myself to wake up and found myself to be in a dizzy spell . So, you can feel dizzy too during sleep.

My conclusion is, it's tough being a mother.
And, I'm only 4 months into it and I'm feeling it.
I still have 20 years to go.

Wish me luck, and patience.

Satisfying the Craving

Have been eating really well lately, and I don't really have much cravings to be frank. I think I have handled that pretty well. I try not to be demanding and snack on anything I can find at home. But there is one thing I always crave for - ICE CREAM !!

Well, no flavor in specific, so McD's did pretty well for me.

Here are some places we have been to and find it quite awesome:

Singapore Food blogger, Lady Iron Chef' wrote a review (here) on this cafe before.

I was there 3 times, and they provided a very good service all the time! Good smiles, happy people, and most importantly, great ambiance! The place is cosy and good for a catch up.

The only disadvantage is the accessibility.
Oh, and it is located just beside a dog cafe! We met many dogs along the way!

Another place is a bak kut teh place located at Gateway

They have very delicious soup and not expensive at all !!
A set meal cost around 10 bucks and you can eat till your hearts content !!

16 Weeks (Appointment)

Pregnancy has been good to me so far.
Appetite is back and little cravings also just started.

But I keep telling myself to control it! Cuz I don't wanna gain any unnecessary weight from pregnancy. Its not as if I'm not eating enough, those supplements prescribed by doctor is actually good enough. So I shouldn't "eat for two" like many said.

(Source: BabyCentre)

Some said I look rounder, some say I didn't change much.
I have gained 2kg so far.

So, went for the once-a-month routine check up and baby bean is now slightly over 10cm at 160grams

Doctor was trying very hard to check for the gender, but my shy baby keeps on kicking the scan machine. YES!! Both Vinc and I actually see our baby kicking LIVE on the ultrascan! We were rather amazed, but I couldn't feel kicks in the tummy yet!

So, doctor says baby is healthy, and growing very well, and encourage me to continue taking the supplements.

Well, I actually have some issues with the supplements.
They come in pills form, some in capsules. I can't seem to digest the capsules very well and always throw up within 15mins of drowning it down.

But doctor insist I continue.
Well, if it's good for the baby, then.... no choice I guess.

We will be having a detailed scan in 5 weeks time. Its called the Fetal Abnormalities scan. Doctor will check baby from head to toe, in detail.. So, we will also know the gender by then!

By the way, I don't think it is so important to spread about my pregnancy. It's so personal and, people who are important to me will be informed personally, and those who care to read my blog regularly will get informed too.

For the rest, thank you for your concern.

15th Week's Baby Bump

Now the bump is more obvious especially when I'm lying down.
It is just so amazing! :D

Not able to feel the baby's movement at the moment, although many in the forum says they can at this point of time. Probably because baby Lee has more cushion inside - Fats I mean. heh!

Hopefully we can reveal the gender at our next scan!
